Animal Themed!

I recently found these adorable animal bibs and thought they would be super fun.  So I gathered up a bunch of the bibs and animals to go with and got busy making some new creations.  I found that sticking to an animal theme is easier then trying to stick to a color and animal theme.  There are a ton of babies things out there but finding the perfect match is really hard.  I hope you all like my new creations!  I love the way they turned out and how easy it is to change each of these creations to a specific gender. Leave me a comment and let me know which one is your favorite!

Monkey Motorcycle!

My latest diaper motorcycle is a monkey theme. The person who this was made for had purple and gray for the colors. Unfortunately the hard part is finding bibs and receiving blankets to match themes and colors.  I was lucky enough to find purple and brown that went with the monkey theme, which also tied in the color of the monkey!

My latest Do It Up With Diapers Creation!

Some good friends of ours are having a baby boy at the end of August.  I was so excited to find out they were having a boy because I knew the perfect theme for them!  Hunting!!  Yep the father loves to hunt and hunts everything. He has recently even taken up duck hunting with my husband.  He has already taught his daughter to blow duck calls and get in the duck blind and she is not even 2 yet!  I love the way this one turned out and can't wait to send it to them!

How I got started!

I grew up with a very creative mother where normal gifts just don't cut it.  So when my neighbors announced they were having twins and the father started panicing over how many diapers they were going to need that got me to thinking.  What can I make out of diapers that is cute, fun, and unique?  Just giving them a box of diapers would never do and was not how I was raised.  So I decided how about diaper wreaths, coincidentally the twins were born around Christmas time but it was also something that I could make two of.  I was so excited about how the diaper wreaths turned out and my neighbors loved them. Not only were they full of diapers but I also added some cute other gifts to them.  I tied on onsies, pacifiers, and for the center I dangled a carseat toy.
This only inspired me to try more things.  I started out by making a diaper cake for my sister-in-law but then decided to get even more creative from there.  I did some research online and found diaper tricycles.  Diaper trikes are wonderful not only are they full of diapers but they are include 2 recieving blankets, two bibs, a pair of baby socks, and a bottle! The best part is they can be completely customized to any theme.  My sil had a Dr. Seuss theme so I added a Cat in the Hat to the trike.  I have also created diaper motorcycles too!  The possiblities are endless!  I have a lot of fun creating these and hope you enjoy them too!
